Long Live the Elderly

"LONG LIVE THE ELDERLY" MOVEMENT
Chart of the Elderly

Roma

"My hope will never fade,
I will praise you more and more"
(Ps 70, 14)

We say Long Live the Elderly because we are proud of our age. We want everyone to know that being elderly is beautiful and we want to communicate a happy image of old age

For this we commit ourselves:

To be courteous and to smile

To always have a good word for everyone

To make ourselves available to the others

Not to look on the past with regret, criticising the present

To take an interest in everything that concerns elderly people

Not to avoid those who are more elderly

To help everyone understand the value of old age

To help young people not to feel alone or without family

To pass on to young people the meaning of life

To believe that our time is useful

To use our free time for those in need

Not to fear to change and to live new experiences

To love life and always defend it

To think that everyone can give something for the others

To believe that whatever our condition, we can be happy

To help other elderly people not to be institutionalised

To care for a better future and to build it for all

To remind everyone that war is evil

To always proclaim the value of peace

To never give up hoping.
