In the footsteps of John
Paul II
Sant�Egidio on a Polish pilgrimage
 Three years after the death of John Paul II, 200 young Romanians of
the Community of Sant�Egidio accompanied its Chair, Professor
Marco Impagliazzo, on a visit to Krakow and Częstochowa in
remembrance of the late Pope and to honor his achievements.
The itinerary took in a conference held by Krakow�s Cardinal
Stanislao Dziwisz on the life of Karol Wojtyla.
The youngsters also visited the concentration camp of Auschwitz
Birkenau for a ceremony recalling the victims of the Shoah and the
extermination of Gypsies.
