He was ordained priest in 1974, and was elected as Auxiliary Bishop of Barcelona in 1993. In 2003 he was appointed bishop of Urguell and co-prince of Andorra.In 2008 he was elected member of the Economic Council of the Spanish Episcopal Conference. He’s as well a member of the Episcopal Commission for media and social communication and he is the responsible of the Interdiocesian Major Seminary of Catalonia.He has already attended several editions of the International Meetings of Prayer for Peace following the "spirit of Assisi". |
