On the first of May, Sant'Egidio is synonymous with solidarity... even in Barcelona. In fact, also this year there were the traditional celebrations with the poor, such as the lunch with the homeless friends, preceded by a visit to the historic basilica of Saints Just i Pastor. The elderly and the new Europeans of People of Peace gathered for a multi-ethnic party in the square of Saint Lazarus Church. The party could not be missed by the Youth for Peace, who brought the festivity of the first of May inside the walls of the Fort Pienc nursing home.
