Andrea Riccardi described the humanitarian corridors as "a civil and non-violent protest against indifference". These pictures show a different way of fleeing from war, and a different way of being Europeans. Seventy refugees from Syria and Lebanon landed this morning in Rome. Other 60 will arrive. We say to all of you: welcome!

The arrival of refugees is possible through the humanitarian corridors promoted by  the Community of Sant'Egidio,the Federation of Evangelical Churches and the Waldensian and Methodist Churches. (To know more>>)
