He was a convinced opponent to the dictator regime in his own country in the ‘70s; condemned to death in absentia by the regime of Sekou Toure, he returned to Guinea in 1991.
He has a long and prestigious political career, and in 2010, after a delicate election campaign with as main issue the national conciliation, he was elected President of Guinea. |
