The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Kirill, received a few days ago founder of the Sant'Egidio Community Andrea Riccardi.
During the meeting, the Patriarch stressed the commitment to peace and dialogue between Christian churches led by the founder of Sant'Egidio.
Riccardi was then awarded, with a solemn ceremony, the Doctorate Honoris Causa from the School of Doctoral and Higher Theological Studies of the Russian Orthodox Church for the commitment of the Community of Sant'Egidio to peace, friendship with the poor and the example of Christian life.
