The house of the Community is at the edge of the Christian neighbourhood of Yohannabad. It is a beautiful house over two floors: a spacious and welcoming space, with a chapel for the prayer, rooms to host the School of peace and the meetings of the elderly of the surrounding area.
 The large terrace on the top of the building will welcome many moments of feast and friendship.
The presence of the Community and the opening of this house in an area where Christians and Muslim coexist represent a sign of peace and dialogue for the entire city.

Yesterday the new house of the Community of Sant’Egidio was inaugurated in Lahore, the second city and the cultural capital of Pakistan. This new space of the Community was opened at the presence of many friends, young people, priests and nuns in an atmosphere of joy and feast. This is the second house in Pakistan after Sarghoda, inaugurated on 2007. |
