In Valentine's Day the Community of Sant'Egidio in Nakuru chose to celebrate with the roughly 200 inmates of the female prison just out of town, to show them that there is sombody loving them as well in such a popular day.
For the Community in Nakuru this is a tradition, since some years, in order to live this feast dedicated to love in a larger way and without exclusions.
They held a distribution of soap and hygienic stuff, things so much lacking in the prisons, then they celebrated the feast with a cake and a symbolic gift of a rose for each female inmate. |
