On Saturday 22 March more than 300 young people gathered in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast, for the inauguration of Jeunes Pour la Paix (Youth for Peace), the movement of the Community of Sant'Egidio that, around the world, is committed to promoting the culture of peace and of friendship with the poor among the younger generation.

Many students came from the colleges of the different areas of Abidjan, including Treichville, Plateau and Marcory, that joined the Youth for Peace and that, in the coming days, will meet for initiatives of solidarity with the poorest.
