Mozambique, Ten Years of Peace
On October 4th 1992 the Peace General Agreement that put an end to the war in Mozambique was signed in Rome. The agreement had been reached thanks to the commitment in of the Community of sant'Egidio in the negotiations. Ten years after, it is a feast day in Mozambique, where the "Day of Peace and Reconciliation" is celebrated. The Communities of Sant'Egidio all over the world celebrated this anniversary.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Peace General Agreement, signed in Rome on October 4th 1992, the Community of Sant'Egidio presents the book "Mozambique, a Peace for Africa" by Roberto Morozzo della Rocca. Campidoglio, Protomoteca Hall, October 4th , at 4 p.m.

On Sunday 9 June, with a solemn ceremony, the President of Mozambique Joachim Chissano celebrated the ten years since the signing of the Mozambique peace agreements in the halls of the Community of Sant'Egidio.
