In Washington, DC the community hosted a public discussion at Busboys & Poets on the abolition of the death penalty with author Paul Elie of Georgetown University, Brian Stolarz an attorney who helped exonerate America's 154th death row inmate, Alfred Dewayne Brown, Art Laffin a Catholic Worker and victim's family member, and Dani Clark, local community member and friend of death row inmate Ivan Cantu. Using Mario Marazzit's book "13 Ways of Looking at the Death Penalty" as a jumping off point, the conversation focused on personal stories in the fight to end executions in America.
