On the 20th of March, a delegation of the Community of Sant'Egidio of San Salvador went to the cemetery of Nuova Apopa, to visit the tomb of William Quijiano, our Salvadorian brother killed by a gang of violent because of his commitment for the poor.
An inscription was placed in his memory. On it we wrote: "William Alfredo Quijano Zetino, 1988-2009, hermano querido de la Comunidad de Sant'Egidio".
Those who were present silently paid homage to the tomb bringing flowers. After a moment of common prayer, some shared their witness on the importance of the presence of William in the Community and about his love for the poor. especially for thhe children of the School of Peace
Andrea Riccardi e relatives of William: the mother, the brother, and the sister with her child participated to the ceremony.
