From July 20 to 22 luglio the first Argentina Congress of Youth for Peace took place in Buenos Aires, gathering people from all over one of the largest metropolis of the world: abut 16 million people.

The meeting was dedicated to "Let's change the world with the Gopel of peace". Wonderful days, marked by friendship, hepled the youth to reflect on the effort to fight against the widespread violence .

A very meaningful moment was the videoconference with Jaime Aguilar, responsible of the Community of Sant'Egidio in El Salvador.

He gave a witness of the great efforts and the positive effects of the presence of Sant'Egidio in Salvador, where the Community is an alternative to the maras (criminal gangs who hire very young people in poor areas) and encourgade the youth in Argentina to do the same.

At the end of the congress, there was a moving time of prayer, when all the countries afffected by war and violence were reminded one by one.
