.jpg) The Word of God every day 2014 follows on the Year of Faith that Pope Francis ended with an extraordinary exhortation to a new missionary momentum of the Church from a renewed preaching of the Gospel.He himself gives an example by choosing to comment on the Gospel of the Mass every day. The Pope's example encouraged me to follow him offering brief reflections on the Gospel of the daily Mass during this year.
So the Word of God every day 2014 wants to help us to listen fruitfully to the Lord who speaks to us every day.
The brief comments that are presented, and help us to understand the literal meaning of the Gospel text, want to bring out the spiritual meaning of the words that are announced to us because, by welcoming them, they move the heart and enlighten our way.
The book - as it happened in previous editions - marks the days according to the liturgical year of the Latin Church that calls its children to live the mystery of Jesus during the whole year. By celebrating the mystery of Jesus in the course of the year we help, mysteriously but really, the whole world and all the peoples to be open to God's love.
